    Two More Dogs From Korea

This is Chandler a young male Maltese...

    Two More Dogs From Korea

    Two More Dogs From Korea

And this young Maltese is Sia-2 (we call her Sia-2 because we had another dog named Sia)

    Two More Dogs From Korea

    Two More Dogs From Korea

Both were rescued from a Korean meat market

Chandler is absolutely friendly and human oriented. He is sitting at my feet right now, as I am typing this. Sia-2 is a little more reserved but, she will come around with a little TLC...

    Richard, as always, nice images.

Am I correct in thinking that a year or so ago you had a large shipment of dogs rescued from a Korean market?

Yes, Bruce, you are totally correct. We are still rescuing Korean dogs but, instead of receiving them in a large group, we are receiving them in smaller numbers but, more often. The large group at one time really put a strain on our resources - both personnel wise and financially. We can handle the smaller groups or 2-4 more easily than the groups of 12-20 that we originally accepted.

I look at these sweet animals and it is hard to believe that they were destined for the butcher. That is horribly repugnant to me. However, I would assume that my eating beef would be repugnant to a Hindu and eating pork equally repugnant to a Muslim...
