    Autumn colours in Oz

Our gum trees are always green, despite the season. So we have to especially plant deciduous trees, which are basically not indigenous flora, to be able to enjoy the richness of their autumnal foliage.
These trees were planted beside the road at a local winery as part of a local beautification programme.

Road signs can kill a composition, but the alternative is to go on a cloning blitz. Nice effort despite the distractions.

We are looking forward to this type of view in about a month (mid-October) so I am looking forward to some nice photography. Some of the trees have started to turn colours, especially out of the city itself and in areas that are a bit further north.

That being said, that also means getting ready for winter and all that lovely ice and snow.

El Yucko to all of that! One great thing here is, though it is moderately cold, when we get the lovely autumnal foliage we do NOT suffer trepidations of the far from 'lovely ' wretched ice and snow!

Hi John. Thank you. I left the signs in to indicate that the road took a sharp turn dipping down to the left towards a bridge over the Goulburn river with the second sign indicating that the road was subject to flooding as a consequence. Which was a useless inclusion on my part as they are too far away to be read.
