That is quite an amazing image. What a capture. Not much more can be said really. Hopefully people are coming into this thread in order that they'll to see it. You should put it into the Mini Comp thread (or December monthly challenge that Colin will be about to start up, if you took it in the last 24 hours), becuase I think maybe more poeple might look in there.

    Fantastic.

I agree with Donald. A very good image. I love the streaked backdrop. Good exposure too.

Two of my students were working a photo project and rather than blur the backgroud, in this one, I let the figures blur and kept the focal point the constant...I like working with things in constant flux.

Nice Chris - i have often thought a busy hairdressing salon would work well to this theme - focus on 1 client under the new space age drier thingys - long exposure and all the workers racing around to each client around her...at least where i go it's like this...

Thanks so much, guys! I actually took that photo three or four years ago, but revisited it recently.

the greyhound is a really good shot (as too are the other pics on this thread), i think it just needs a bit more space in front for the dog to run into, cheers martyn

Sometimes things go a little too abstract, but you can always pull the viewer back in with a good title,

Three, very, very good and interesting images immediately above.

Purely a matter of personal taste, but the third is my favourite. I love the shapes, the light and the texture, even though the background is more broken and distracting. The first one is< I think, too abstract in that I'm not really able tot ell what it is. There is no sense of reality on it for me (which is not a 'fault', merely a matter of personal preference).

    Re: Railroad Blur

Donald thanks for your kind words, i like dance pictures combined with slow shutter speeds to show the movement, alot of people dont get it, the amount of times people have said that if i used a flash or a faster shutter i might have got the thing in sharp focus, heres a couple more, cheers martyn ps mexican dance is taken from original pic, afterwards i gave it some space and darkened the stage down, it was taken from a stage show in some holiday hotel,
