Living in a Tropical Rain Forest climate ensures many interesting macro subjects. Even by our standards this cocoon is exotic.
I know that something lives within the yellow and blue silk because in one of the shots the creature's tail was sticking out. The overall length is 3/4 of an inch. As always, shot in our Garden/Temple somewhere in the Philippines.

That macro world is amazing, and we would not even see it without macro photography being available to all of us. The patterns and colours never cease to amaze, and this capture is right up there, art and science combined. I like the way you have focused this, leaving the edges wispy, drawing us in to imagine what is in there....or out there...
