    Mini Competition #139

    Here's how it works ...

    - You good folks post images in the thread (please change your post title to a name for your picture)

    - When we get 10 images we will attach a voting poll

    - After 3 days the poll closes and the winner is declared!

    - If you would especially like some critique after the competition poll closes, please make it known in the post

    Too easy eh?

Limit of 1 image per post, and 2 image posts per person.

If there are already 10 in the current comp, please start a new thread in this forum

I've been shooting while skating a lot lately. It's hard to concentrate on both, but I think I'm finding a nice balance.

    Enlightenment

this was taken of a light bulb with water condensed in it. It's pretty self explanatory.

I was looking at the shots I took of these leaves in the snow. At first I liked the one posted in this comp best because of the details in the leaf, but now I'm thinking I like the zoomed out version better. What do you think.

    Hi Wendy,

I like the first shot better. That being said, the first shot would be improved if it was just the brown leaf and maybe a hint of the other plant under the snow just below the leaf providing a little contrast under the snow. The shot is minimalist in nature but has too much going on. I think this is why it just misses.

    Re: Mini Competition #139

Thank you for the feedback Steve. I didn't want to move things too much and disturb the snow - there was not very much of it but I think you are right that there is too much going on. I though the zoomed out second version helped a bit, but it's still not quite doing it for me either.

    Wendy
