    A fox goes hunting

This is definitely the first time I had seen a fox hunting some prey, but unfortunately, with a lot of ground cover and not a great view the shot is not as good as I would have liked.

This fox spotted a squirrel and tracked it to a small tree where it took several jumps up on it's hind legs in an effort to get to its prey.

The leaves are not a detriment to the image. The fox is so dominant the vegetation is more context then content.

This was the jump. The feet did not leave the ground very much, but the fox stretched towards the squirrel. I suspect it recognized a lost cause as it walked away shortly after I took this shot. I have an early missed shot where it jumped when the squirrel was closer to the ground, but both my aim and camera settings did not work out for me.

Well captured despite what you say. The fox looks in need of a good meal. Looks a bit scrawny.
