    Themed Mini Competition: vintage

We will have a friendly mini competition. Post anything you view as vintage. Anything of your own taste. dazzle us! Limit: 2-3 each person. We will have a maximum of ten posts. We will start voting when we have 10 entries. Please change you post title to give your shot a title.

    sounds easy enough?

    Utopia

Do you want to make this 10 entries, like the other mini comps? You might like to define 'vintage' a bit more.

Two great things were produced in 1955. I'll let you guess what the other one was!

One I did 45 years earlier

    Themed Mini Competition: vintage

Shot with my cheap nasty Halina, with fixed f2.8 50mm lens and mandatory bubbles, with viewfinder, rangefinder and light meter.

I see smelly is showing off in the background. School knickname.

That's because you're too young! It's not fair!

They'll be ancient history so far as Utopian is concerned.

If it has been standing on its bum all this time I wouldn't rate its chances!!
    On the other hand ....
"Beaune 1955 Lupe Cholet £179.97 - From the good 1955 vintage, this outstanding red Burgundy has a dash of cherry red with a sweet, attractive, vanilla nose. This lovely wine is sweet on the palate with a lovely aftertaste. Drink now - 2013."

I'm afraid it's a goner. There's been a lot of loss. It's just up to the middle of the top label, so there's a lot of air in there.

I got it about 3 years ago after a house clearance and it was in bad shape then. But I'll keep it as a memento.

I've also got a 1955 Chapoutier Northern Rhone ... which is still full. So .....?

Don't worry about that. One of the Moderators (probably Rob or Dave) will keep an eye on this thread. And when there are 10 images, they'll put up a poll so that we can all vote. But, of course, we're not allowed to vote for our own image.
