    Wacom Tablets - A Problem

A question for fellow users of Intuos Pro tablets.

    I have a medium tablet.

The Wacom Desk Center has started throwing up a 'No device fitted' maybe 30/40% of the time when I switch the computer on. Occasionally, I will see it installed okay but only when I use it and complete a couple of commands, it will revert to 'No device fitted' status. Restarting the computer always fixes this and I am able to use the tablet.

    Also:-

I have the Express Keys set up for Photoshop, Bridge and DxO Photolab. Occasionally (I keep using this word), when I have the above problem, it also wipes out my commands for Photoshop, Bridge and DxO Photolab and just holds onto the Default 'All other' settings. I then have to re-programme the Express Keys for each of the above applications.

    This never used to happen.

I have the latest driver (6.3.30-6) installed.

Is this a Wacom Tablet problem or one caused by an update to Windows 10?

Donald - I have run into similar issues in the past. Uninstalling the current Wacom driver and reinstalling an older version was always a solution that seems to have worked for me in the past.

Every now and then I also have to reload the software from my installation disc.

The most frequent problem for me is that the pen works in 'normal' mode but any right click functions are lost.

This problem is easy to fix. Open the tablet properties, go to the "mapping tab" and uncheck the box labelled "Use Windows Ink" in the lower left corner. Windows updates frequently turns this feature back on

Just had the same problem with new computer and ended up going to the Wacom site to find solution, followed there instructions to delete everything connected with Wacom from a Windows 10 computer, downloaded the newest driver again, installed it and now tablet working as should. Bit of a faf but it worked. Russ.

I just installed the new driver as well and did the reboot of my computer. I had similar problems as you had reported.

I opened the Wacom Desktop Center and saw that my device was not registering. I did another reboot and after that step everything was back to normal.

Just in case anyone has the same problem ...............

Before I got to do the re-boot, this problem (it seems) caused chaos. Bridge wouldn't work. Mozilla Firefox browser had to be refreshed. I don't know why a problem with the Tablet could have caused such chaos, bit it seems to have done. Because, now that I have uninstalled and re-installed the driver, everything is working fine again.

Perhaps a technical guru can maybe explain what happened and/or why it happened.
