    Out of the fog

A couple parasailers a little south of San Francisco on a foggy afternoon. It was mesmerizing watching them come in and out of the fog.

Interesting image. The second chute in the distance really makes it.

Nice shot! I keep telling myself to shoot the Paragliders at Torrey Pines but, myself doesn't pay any attention to me

Thank you for the comments. While driving out to the beach I was getting bummed because the fog started rolling in but then once on location I was happy with the conditions.

Great shot Dave. The setting and the fog really work well together; add the human element of the parasailors into the image and it works very well. I agree with Dan's comment, the finishing touch of the second parasail coming out of the fog is what really makes this shot stand out. The heavy fog along the top is not all that attractive, but breaking it up with the additional element anchors the shot quite nicely.

IMHO, this is really excellent. The landscape composition is well done, you captured the right balance of detail and fogginess, and the two people are perfectly positioned. Great work.

It's all been said. Love the image. The people on the beach add a degree of scale as well.

Great lines in this scene, Dave. I like the way the line of the fog intersects with the cliff line to form a V shape which is iterated in the line of the beach; and the line of the two paragliders is an extension of the line of surf. Very good timing after all.

(There is a dust spot on the about half way up, just above the last bit of green.)

Thanks Greg, I will remove that spot. There were quite a few spots when I stated editing this image because of the moist air and high winds.
