    Crazy thing happened...

I was working on some dog portraits in Photoshop CC when the [ and ] keys would no longer size the circle of my various tools such as clone stamp, burn or dodge tools. In fact, I had absolutely no circle at all to tell me what area the tools were covering. I was able to size the various tools using the size indicator slider in the top left but, could not see what the tool was covering.

I was able to complete the edits by guess work. I then closed Photoshop CC and reopened it. Lo and behold, I had the indicator circles back.

    Wonder what caused this anomaly

You hadn’t accidentally pressed the cap lock key? That gets rid of the circles.

Assume you pressed enter to confirm your last actions? If something is pending confirmation the [ ] won't work.

    Wow Thanks...

Either of the above could have been the culprit, I will definitely keep this in mind if it happens again. It was frustrating to work with the clone stamp without seeing the circle
