    Train crew

    I liked this scene because I liked the gentleman's smiling face as he was adjusting the levers on a steam driven locomotive. I wanted to emphasise the strong lines in his face and levers and whatnot and opted for B&W. C&C most welcome.

    That is a wonderful image. Just a pity the man in front was facing completely the other way. Even if his head been turned slightly. As for the man whose face we can see, it's a face full of character. To separate it out from the background, try selecting around his face and applying a curve (or use levels if you prefer) to lift it a bit.

    It is now a better image. I only applied a curve to his face and did not see the need to do anything else.

    It's getting close to looking unnatural, but you've stopped it on the right side of the line. That does strengthen the image. Very well done.
