The grief is swallowing the life of the griever. the red and green bring out the hotness and coolness of grief. The drop at the bottom is the life energy of the griever waiting to resurface as the grief diminishes. The convoluted structure indicates that grief is never a straight path.
But the first lesson any preacher learns is that what matters is what the congregation takes away from the sermon, not what he thought he was preaching on. Which means your interpretation of this shot makes as much sense as mine does
