Looking for image licensing advice and large format printers who print on translucent

    Hello Community!

I have a client looking to license an eight foot by twelve foot print on a translucent fabric that will allow light to pass through. They want to place the print in a store front window.

First off, does anyone have any pricing recommendations for a one time use license for this sort of job. (they will be paying for printing)

Secondly, does anyone know of any printers out there that can print 8' x12' on some sort of translucent material?
    Thanks!

    - Mike

Sorry you're not getting a reply. It's a pretty specialist bit of kit you are looking for. And when you say any printers 'out there', I take it your meaning in North America?

Sorry Mike - most printers do not go wider than 44" so often large prints are made up of multiple panels. One of my images was printed to 9ft x 27ft and I was told this is how it was done.

Translucent material prints are very specialized work and I am not aware of anyone who does these or in fact provides print media. Sorry I can't be of any help here either. All I can suggest is if you know of someplace that has something similar on display, track down their source.

The epson 11880 and the newer SC-P20000 print 64'' wide.

As a 'translucent' material we regular use epsons 'backlit-frontprint' paper and is available up to 60'' I believe. It is commonly used in backlit panels but can also be used in front off a window.

You can always print two panels and stitch together.
