Re: Danny's cycle
I like the second view much better, nicely done.

Re: Danny's cycle
I think the first is better with respect to your position relative to the cycle. However, the truck is a big distraction.

Re: Danny's cycle
Watch your light and watch your background!
The light conditions you are shooting under is extremely hard and not particularly attractive, even to something like a motorcycle. In both images you have distracting background elements that take away from your subject. If you could have moved the bike a bit, this could have been avoided.
I also find that your crop is quite tight in the first shot and the angle you shot from makes your subject look a bit strange in the second one.

Re: Danny's cycle
My thoughts are much the same as previously mentioned.
With the first image I would like to have gone a fraction wider, even if that included a little bit more of the distracting background. To me, this scene looks too 'cramped' which is worse than a slight background issue.
The second one is also just a bit on the tight side and seems to have a touch of a blue cast.
But, in all fairness, this was a difficult subject and you have overcome the potentially tricky shooting problems.

Re: Danny's cycle
John, Dan, Manfred, and Geoff, thank you for your very helpful comments.
This was a spur of the moment shot. It was not a planned shoot. So the time of the day, and location were out of my control. In all fairness your comments though are right on.
Thanks again.
