This is the sort of thing I worry about. I try to look about, however one never knows what is happening outside the visual field.
Stepping back to change the PoV is going to get somebody's mother quite upset...
Some birds can be quite viscous. The Canada Geese, up this way, are well known for attacking passers by and even cyclists if they get too close their offspring.

I think she is lucky she didn't move. I recognise that species. They are quite placid generally but when they have young they are very aggressive, the male(s) will charge you if you come within 5 metres of them. Interesting shot though.
