    Evolution

I briefly pondered this and decided that this unusual composite image of mine should be on this forum

This is an image you could have a lot of fun with PP. I like it as it is but there is a lot more fun to be had.

Gotta agree with Mugge, as was once typed to me: This shot deserves more pp.

Should be more of it, Jim.

Interesting image and like Ole, I think you could probably bring a lot more out. Keep up the good work.

    Re: Evolution

Taking all of the comments on board I have processed this image further. I have added a bit of room at both the top and bottom of the background. Have brought out the front leg more - also I decided to make the upper hand more visible, as well as other tweaks. What do you think now please folks? The saturation/tint does not show nearly as well online.
PS Have changed the title to “No Escape”, what do you think?

I like the concept here and the revised processing definitely enhances the original IMO.

For some reason though, the dark near horizontal band across the image distracts me, but maybe it is an important element of your intent, Jim.

Jim, there is only one problem with shot. There are just so many ways to process it.This time the feet, legs and arms are more interesting. I'm curious how you would bring out the pathos / emotions in the eyes?

Calling your image 'escape' takes on a new meaning. I think you could work on separating the figure from the earth. I am very curious as to where this is leading.

I wonder, is this an image from body world?

Ah, three things to reply to, and two challenges!

Brian - I have yet to attempt the eyes, which will be a big challenge, because they are too small - bigger eyes are good! Watch this space.

Ole - your suggestion defeats the whole purpose of what I am trying to achieve, by having the texture on top, I show a different world. However I have put the figure on top with the background, a thermal area, below. Not really convinced, but here it is in a very rough form. Will be very interested in feedback.

George - the figure is from Body Works Vital - so now my secret is out - I hope you are satisfied!

If I recognize it on the other side of the world it can't be a secret. So nothing to be satisfied for..

Off topic. For the mods. The "latest threads" tab doesn't work anymore since yesterday

Interesting image making Jim. I assume you are using the "Blend If" functionality in Photoshop to accomplish this effect?

I wonder if this image might not be a bit stronger is you had chosen a rectangular rather than square format? I have played around and found that a 4x5 vertical (portrait) orientation looks better, in my view.
