    Dramatic Lighting Workshop - Randi

I attended a dramatic lighting workshop this evening with other members of the photo club's studio management group. This is definitely not the type of lighting I have used when shooting a female model before, so I found the experience quite interesting.

This is the third time I had a chance to work with Randi.

Number 1 is my favorite! While I really appreciate b&w, the color seems to add a dimension here that makes me want to look at the image over and over.

Thanks for sharing your work with us.

Looking at it still another time, there's more to it than just the color; her facial expression is sublime, the tilt of her head is just so, the play of light on her arm, with just a hint of light on her side behind the arm- and the low-rider jeans giving just a glimpse of her hip - all go together. I think it's a great shot, Manfred.
