Studio: Yellow Walking Iris In A Small Milk Jug

Yellow Walking Iris’s have one serious flaw: They are wind catchers on long thin stems. In other words, the slightest breeze and they are off and running. Which is why after receiving permission I clipped this one and headed off to the studio.

After the shoot M’Lady had a flower on her desk, the plant didn’t die, I got a good shoot, and you dear reader have the pleasure of a beautiful flower on your computer screen. Who could ask for anything more.

As always, shot in our garden/temple somewhere in the Philippines.

    This works OK.

I have always found irises, in whatever colour, to be problematic; particularly with excessive brightness or saturation areas. The blue forms seem to change colour depending on the light intensity and angle.

I did do some cloning on nth bottom left petal because of a blown out area.
