Great looking puppy and very nice shot... IMO, a bit of judicious dodging of the pup's eyes brighten them a bit and accentuate the catchlights...

Actually I edited the photo a bit but I did not want to exaggerate it. I made the background a little darker and the eyes of the puppy a bit lighter. I did not want to go any further.
