Is this a new feature in Adobe Camera Raw?

I have just installed the October 2018 Edition of Photoshop and Adobe Bridge which, of course, includes Adobe Camera RAW.

When I am opening an image in Adobe Camera RAW and I mouse click on that image and move the cursor to the left and right, the image enlarges and decreases in size. I can then move around the image by pressing the space bar and moving the mouse.

If this isn't a new feature, I feel awfully dumb because tonight is the first time that I noticed this capability which is a super way to ascertain if the image is sharp before I do much post processing on it!

What you describe is the default behaviour when you have selected the zoom tool in camera raw. I cannot recall if this is new or not.

Pressing and holding the space bar to change the tool to the hand tool is a long standing feature in Photoshop and is one I use a lot.

Alternatively if you have the hand tool selected you can simply right click and select 100% view to check sharpness. Or just double click on the zoom tool icon in the top left of the screen. Lots of ways to do the same thing, even a keyboard short cut I am sure too.
