The bricks work so well as a background for her hair! Nicely done

Sorry, but after a year and a 1/4 she's still not looking at the camera

The whole image has an over-processed look. This seems to be a direction you are moving in, based on some of the other recent postings that you've made. I'm not quite sure why you are pushing the pixels so hard as subtlety usually results in a stronger image.

I am in agreement with Manfred, sorry Mike. While I am not a portrait photographer (nor anything but amateur photog at best) your images are just pushed too far, your model does not look real. No texture anywhere from her face down through her shoulders.

Not to pile on, but I had a similar reaction but didn't want to post until I got back to a good monitor. One of my reactions was the same as Sharon's: no texture. This often happens when one tries too hard to remove natural imperfections, and some portrait software does it almost automatically. It makes people look like they are made of plastic. My second reaction is that some of the images have an unnatural color balance, what seems to me to be an odd and not pleasant yellowish color cast. This showed up, for example, in Missing summer, which looks more natural and appealing to me when I move +13 toward blue and +6 toward green on the Photoshop scales.

Just one person's taste, of course, but you've got some great images that I think would look better if you backed off on the editing.
