Hi Sandy,
Yes the Platine shows the flare quite well and the blacks have an oil like texture. Thanks for commenting.

This shot was taken while I was doing a bit of practicing capturing movement in low light, the scene was bathed in changing light sources with a disco flair. I tried various methods of controlling the color temperature to bring the skin tones in alignment but most efforts resulted in blotchy skin on the leading skater. Next step is possibly black and white conversion. f/2.5, ISO 3200, 1/160sec.

Nice capture, although cropped a little too tight on the left. Would you consider cropping some off the top? There is enough action there to draw the eye away from the artist.
Cropped image per Dan's suggestion.

The smooth texture paper show details rather well with just enough texture for the darker areas.

Hi John - I'm especially drawn to your image of Lafayette Square. I was the typical kid that enjoyed watching clouds. The sky adds beauty to the already attractive buildings!
And to be nosy, what lens did you use?
Thanks! :)
I shot this image last fall during one of my weekend jaunts around the area, finally got around to editing. Comments welcome on the different looks, overall composition, processing.

I printed this comparison on Canson Infinity Rag just to look at it without the effects of the screen.

Was playing with the camera while waiting for a ride and after zooming in was sure I spotted Jason staring at me.
