Late evening? Plenty of street light to help with the image capture. I like the color reflection on the left side but I wish that more of the waders had been facing your direction. This looks like a large expanse of water within the city square. Interesting that people are allowed to be in it. If I'd been one of those children, I would have been sitting it it! <chuckle>

Hi Sandy,

Interesting comment about the people frolicking in the pool and their direction of gaze, as a street photographer I found it interesting that they were not disturbed by onlookers and were instead fully engaged in their enjoyment. Thanks for commenting.

Thanks for commenting, I added a yellow and red filter which helps elevate both the skin tones and the dress.

Yes, the only lens attachment filters I have is a sky filter which I've never used but might consider for some astrophotography, adding the filter during pp gives more flexibility and cuts down on after the shot corrections trying to alter what was done in-camera.

I do use the sky filter only to protect the lens. I've also given a polarizer filter a try but find that it cuts the aperture setting more than I like. Thanks for the info!

When you use the CPL are you at least getting the desired effects of the filter, reducing reflections, adding detail/contrast to skies?

It seems to help the reflection from the koi pond. I can't say that it has helped the sky any but then I've tried it in the middle of day when I am after a bird in the top of a tree (dark bird) with bright skies behind it. Good thing there is a delete button on my computer..... lots of failed attempts end up in the rubbish! :)

I find that if you keep the sun to the left/right of your peripheral you get the best effects of the lens.

I also notice that the sky isn't over bright! Did you happen to use a filter during the capture? Or were the conditions just right for a good exposure?

It was a partly cloudy day so bits of sunshine would burst through at opportune moments, yes parades can be a hit or miss encounter, thanks for commenting.

Thanks for commenting, yes this is an interesting piece of architecture called "the Gooderham Building" and also the "Flatiron Building", has an unusual façade whether you face from the front or back of the building.

Hi John - I agree with David! Definitely unique. Is that made from cloth or is it metal sheeting formed to look like it is flapping about?
