Intriguing image, John. Based on your prior work, I presume you've made the lake and other foliage deliberately soft, but wonder why. What were you trying to say with the image? The overcast seems to be consistent with the softness . . . Nonetheless, I like it!

    Hi Zen,

I was going for a dreamy, mystical effect. Thanks for commenting.

Found Art pic - Her art work also looks more dreamy and mystical. I wonder how it all turned out for her! Your image of the situation works for me!

    Hi Sandy,

I wonder the same about her art piece, the rain started to lightly fall that day and she had disappeared when I returned to the spot. Thanks for commenting.

Mural by artist Daniel Fila (Krave), located on Biscayne Blvd, Miami, Fl., titled "The Sunbather". The work has been defaced many times by supposed activists.

grrr - I had a post composed and hit a wrong key command.... soooooo, I'll try again.

Post #67 - I wonder what it is about artist Danial Fila's art that isn't appreciated? Your capture of his image is nicely done!
post #68 - I can't make out what the background is in this image and maybe I'm not supposed to? She looks contemplative. Lots of variance in shades in this image. IME, it is well done!
Post #69 - I also like the color capture, turbulent or maybe just overcast sky. Interesting and also well done!

    Hi Sandy,

#67 Part of the activism towards Fila's art had to do with a state ordinance (Florida) allowing skimpy bathing suits in some counties, however some local art bloggers feel that the vandalism is from outside agitators.

#68 I altered the background as a nod to the artist's style.

#69 The skies were building towards another stormy night in the area.

    Thanks for commenting.

Nicely exposed, but it is a shame the dark pole bisects the performer in the middle distance.

    Hi David,
Agree about the pole, in all of the shots it was either the pole or the speakers which interfered with my captures. Thanks for commenting.

Walking near the river I spotted this drift wood bouncing in the surf. f/5.6, ISO 125, 1/320sec
Printed on Canson Platine 13" x 19" to emphasize the textures.

For some reason, perhaps the style of the gal's dresses, this image gives me a retro feel...

    Hi Richard,

And they are walking through a historical area although some of the signage is a bit more modern, thanks for commenting.

I had to quickly take this shot before they moved or anyone objected.

Hi John - No surprise that your images are well done! I really like the drift wood and bet it made a good print as well! I also enjoy your image of the wedding party! Rare to be in color.
This must be in a popular area? There's even a Ferris wheel in the background. The gal in the F...shirt looks like she may have spotted you! <chuckle>
