I asked her to pose for me. I communicated with gestures. I tried to guide her on the way to look far... I made myself a monkey (imitator) for that !
If you watch closely you will see how her complexion is in bad shape. Focus on her right eye. Intentionally !

Love these people shots... People and their environments are the reason I travel with a camera, Sure, I do my think with brick and mortar images and with landscapes but, looking back at my images of travel I probably include people in 75% of the imagery prominent subjects in at least 50%.

Not in your images, Antonio, but in many images I see of people with darker complexions, I like a little bit of fill flash to brighten the faces and provide catchlights in the eyes. This is especially true when the subjects are wearing hats.

That I why I love the tiny Canon 270EX II flash. I can carry it on my camera all day without even knowing it is there. Not much power but, enough to provide some pop to portraits. I use the TT350S with my Sony A6500 but, it is not quite as handy as the little 270EX II.

Many portraits I show here are from travels we make. Many people in some countries in the far East do not bother if we take their portrait and I like that. The same doesn't happen in US, North Africa...
I do not cary a flash because it would take much time to take the picture. Or else, I do not have the required practice to use it correctly. Moreover, I like flash but it must be very, very subtle. So subtle that one can hardly have it's perception. And that is rather difficult. I do not have the practice as I told you...

My wife has that combo of yours: A6500+Sony 85mm for her shots. She also uses the small Sony SX 100 if memory serves me well, but I do not have a small camera. At least so at this point.
I use mostly m43 cameras and lenses. The 5 MkII is not that compact but quite small for everyday photos.

I have done exhibs here but it is a waist of money. I rather print to leave as legacy fro my suns... I print sometimes in AS5 and A3+ at home with a Epson R3000 and Fine Art Ilford paper

I don't care if they are looking at me or not.
I have a series of portraits where everybody is looking at us. It was meant that way. I'll show them some other day...
Now here on the field, I take them as they are and if I like them, they have a green light !
Note what the very shallow DOF made to the girl in the back ! I decided to keep it as it was a very spontaneous shot !

My only comment is that you could use a smaller aperture (f /2.8 or f/4) to increase the depth of field in this photo (but if you changed the aperture and repeated the photo, you might not have such a spontaneous image).

The use of a wide-angle lens is not the usual, but this gave a different perspective to the image. The guy seems to be much bigger than the girl and his look gives me the impression that he is protecting her against the camera (*).
(*) Probably this interpretation is exaggerated and is a product of my imagination, which is very fertile.

About the first one:
I was walking and chasing portraits and as usual, using the lens wide-open or near large values.
To these girls I just made a small signal with the camera while taking it to the eye.
I had no time for a better adjustment. A unique moment, a glimpse ! One photograph.

The other is a good one in my opinion. In fact the guy is big. He stands out in front of her. I think you are right about her size looking too small in relations to him and you are right.
This is more a psychological and caracter portrait. Curiously I made two shots. The middle one she had the eyes closed. File erased. My wife was taking her portrait at my left.
The other photo of her is just a stereotype. She liked it ! Obviously !

Love this combo. Shall I move to Sony ? Or shall I have both Olympus and Sony ?

This morning I went out with two cameras: the Oly 5 Mk II + Oly 75mm (150 FF) and with my wife's Sony A6500 + Sony 85mm f/1.8 (127,5 FF) and made a few shots with both.
The Oly is really a very camera and so is the lens. I post two photographs from the two cameras. RAW as usual and adjusted to taste in LR and CC
I was (again) very well impressed by the Sony. The buffer is great and it even has GPS ! I do have not customised the camera but I can see that it is pretty easy to do so. I spent lots of time with the Oly on it's menus...
It is hard for me to change from Oly to Sony. Oh yes... I mean expensive ! I do have a bunch of Oly lenses...
But I do like the A6500. So much !!!

One can not distinguish one camera from the other in this most humble comparison.
Oh BTW The portrait on the left is far better than the other. However, I am aware that I have a problem with the white balance which I do not know how to solve. Perhaps a bit too red... I struggle...
