    A rocky end to 2018

Going through my shots taken over Xmas, I seem to have been obsessed with rocks and cliffs. I suppose there are worse things. Although I was just a bit surprised while going through the images at the high percent. I remember reading that you need to have a theme in your portfolio to be a successful photographer. My theme is obviously "Look; a squirrel" as I take pictures of any thing that catches my eye.

A few examples (about 100 of 122 shots I took over Xmas are in this vein)

It seems you've developed a new theme, much different than your others (barns, sunsets, roadways), so this series could be seen as a progression towards other visions, nice captures.

I trust your photography not your retirement is taking this rocky path... You need to camp there for a few months and capture these magnificent scenes in different lighting.

Retirement is a concept at this point, still going in each day to organize selling the practice. However we are free of the stress of actual practice so that is a huge change.

As for camping out in Jasper for a month. For our fortieth anniversary we stayed at the Jasper Park Lodge for four days, suffice it to say that was a once in lifetime experience unless money is no object.
