Thread: Monochrome Mini Competition # 68

  1. #1

    Monochrome Mini Competition # 68

    Here's how it works

    - You good folks post MONOCHROME images in the thread (please change your post title to a name for your picture) (Click the "Go Advanced" button)

    - When we get 10 images we will attach a voting poll

    - After 3 days the poll closes and the winner is declared!

    - If you would especially like some critique after the competition poll closes, please make it known in the post

    Too easy eh?

Limit of 1 image per post, and 2 image posts per person.

If there are already 10 in the current comp, please start a new thread.

    Good luck

    Mike,

You must be an old guy indeed if you took this photo! (smile with a wink)

I know what Steve means about the sweet music of the Merlin. I flew a privately owned P-51B (Merlin powered) once at the Reno air show (Nevada USA) when I had my pilots license and was part owner of an Allison powered P-51. The owner of the "B" admonished, "Do not pull full throttle on takeoff son. The torque of this engine will tip the wing right into the runway!" This bird was scary, but I never had more fun in my life.

I'm very fond of weeds -- can this count as monochrome, even if it's not black and white? Delete if not.

OK, I'll have a go here!

I saw this scene while on a short walk and noticed the cloud, but it didn't show up too well in its original colour format, so I converted to b&w and added a graduated filter in Lightroom. Canon 40D with Canon 50mm f/1.8.
