    Very nice subject and very nice light. My only thought is that you could crop to the group of animals surrounding the tree stumps to avoid the half animals at the sides of the composition.

    John 2, the animals were so spread that it would be difficult not to "cut" any of them. But thank you for noting.
    I am also very peaky and usually try to compose nicely and the best way I can.

    Here below, the DOF is so shallow that the animal in the foreground is out of focus ! Oly 5 II @ Oly 40-150 f/3.5 @150mm

    At the outset apologies for the critical response; this photo does not work for me for the following reasons:

    1. The spotted deer are all feeding with their heads down
    2. There is no central subject to draw my attention to
    3. There is no eye contact with any of the deer
