I recently posted a mono of this MG in a hill climb competition. Checking through the archive I came across some images of the same vehicle on static display.

Delightful! I expect you have researched the car, but it is an MG Q-type replica. Back in the day (1934-35) MG did not have a production line or anything like it. The 'Q' was near enough a one-off, with only 8 hand-built units made. It was quite a machine though, and various replicas were built on the more conventional sports 'P' and 'T' chassis. OSL 309 is one such, built on a 'P' type chassis.

I thought you might appreciate these Bill. I'm glad that there are people who are enthusiastic enough to preserve something from the past but it amazes me that they are then willing to risk it in a race . Never as sleek as a modern car but somehow has much more character.

You are welcome John. The Q was basically a forerunner to the R which was an out and out racer, but again made in limited numbers and not a great success in competitions.
