    Two sisters...

After photographing four of my dogs on a couch for my Christmas card portrait, you would think that these two sisters would be easy to photograph. After all it's just two dogs! NOT SO... They were puppy mill dogs and are just starting to get used to human interaction. After a struggle, I managed to get a couple of relatively decent shots. I really wanted them interacting but it just wasn't in the cards for that photo session

    Two sisters...

Coach (image left) is a bit more outgoing than her sister, Candy.

We rescued these two sisters from a local shelter where they were in line to be put down. Both girls have cardiac problems and had been over bred by their previous puppy mill owners. We had them evaluated by a cardiologist and neither needed heart surgery but, they are on cardiac medications. Best of all, a previous adopter who specializes in special needs dogs is coming tomorrow to adopt both girls

BTW: I tried rubbing a bit of ham on Candy's nose with the hope that her sister would lick it and I would be able to bet an interaction shot. No such luck...

One use for some of my photos...

    Our maltese rescue facebook page

The image bottom right was sent to us by the family that adopted the two sisters. They had settled in on their first night in their new home...
