Great capture and what a cutie! I wish, though, that the image were bigger...

Lovely pup, you will have so much fun.

Can I make an observation from a photographic perspective. I know this can be difficult with dogs (i have two myself) but try and think about the whole scene you are going to capture. The path running through the frame detracts from the image, as does the dark area at the top of the frame. I can see you have got down low which always works well with dogs, but does run the risk of background elements ruining the shot.

On the plus side you seem to have got a nice DOF which isolates your fluffball

Cute. To add to a tad bit of critique... the pups eyes need more attention and it would have been great if he was looking at you.

Labradors are the most incredible dogs ever. We have three (two 8 month old field pups and a 12 year old girl)
    Enjoy your puppy!!!
