Iguazu Falls - Afternoon Golden Hour
A long day of travel from Paraty to the Argentina / Brazil border and the famed Iguazu Falls.
A bit of luck and cooperation from the setting sun gave me this image. I have very limited editing capabilities right now, but am looking for thoughts as to where to take this shot.

Quite an image. Also quite a processing challenge. My first reaction is that it would benefit from a highly selective brightening of the shadows, to bring out detail in some sections. However, it would be tricky, because the high contrast in some areas is part of what makes this a striking image.

I agree with bringing up the shadows but would also want to see the impact of reducing the highlights and bringing up the exposure.

Very nice image Manfred... But, after some PP, it will become a great image. One thing, not mentioned above: I would reduce the brightness of that very tiny strip of trees at the top of the image from the center to image left... Which due to their distance and the intervening haze is more blue than the rest of the green trees.

Consider selectively warming and saturating the mist. I suspect there is a bit more colour you can get. Worth trying anyway

Probably not what you're looking for but de-hazing does bring some clarity to the shadows:
