Palitana temples Bhavnagar district, Gujarat, India

Panama a Brazilian I know from here suggested I post some of my travel shots. Here they are.
A few photos from a place to remember !
There are some thousands steps to climb. Porters are available and it is very convenient mainly if you are rather old. You have to go bare foot. Wonderful place to visit !

Nice series, I would probably opt for upward transportation, downwards is usually easier.

    Thank you John.
We made it differently: when going up we stopped from time to time and we walked / climbed some steps.
On the way down the most part have been done on our feet.
    Four porters of ours

    Antonio,
I liked all the photos you posted, but my favorite is the photo # 4 (that of two monks sitting). The carved columns are amazing! My only comment is that it would have been better to use a smaller aperture to increase the depth of field.
I feel sorry for the porters, but climbing (barefoot) three thousand five hundred steps seems to be somewhat difficult for me. Two years ago, I went up (wearing sneakers) the five hundred and eighty steps of the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte in Braga, and I felt very good, but three thousand and five hundred steps are a completely different situation.
Because of your photos I will not have to go there (and I thank you for that).
    Cheers,
    Antonio.

On the contrary my Brazilian friend !
My simple photos should be the reason to go, appreciate the people, the sounds, the feelings, the sanctuaries, the festivities !...
These photos are just an appetizer, a teaser !
