I had a wonderful day visiting a local festival in the village of Puka Puka, about a 90 minute drive south-east of Sucre, Bolivia. The villagers were in traditional costume. The men were playing instruments and dancing.

Great set, Manfred! A photographer's dream it seems. Such variety and vibrant colour. I love the eyes of the young lady, the seeming livlieness of the last lady. The hat of the first one shows that her hat has seen a lot of life - I wonder whether she is poorer and cannot afford a colourful costume?

As usual, well composed, tight, and technically sound images.
However, for me the first one falls short as your viewpoint seems to be less than optimal. I wonder why you didn't move a tad to the right and get down lower to better capture her facial expression?

i really like the first one Manfred. The character in her face is wonderful and the hat adds a sense of mystery. the painted wall behind is the perfect backdrop for the dark tones of her outfit.
