Female Cecropia Moth
At the LBJ Wildflower Center, Austin, TX. These are North America's largest native moths, with a 4-5-inch wingspan and a life span of a week or two. They have no mouth or digestive system. Their function is to attract a mate, have sex, lay eggs, and die.
