Found my way here looking for some beginning photography resources for my wife who has a photography class this semester. I have shot mostly portraits but I've only been in the field seriously for a few years. I'm currently exploring the vast subject of visual literacy and trying to translate some of what I'm learning into photographic images.
I'm over 51 years old and feeling rather like a kid in a candy factory with all of the resources I have available. I've met some wonderful folks on this journey so far and hope to continue well into the future.
I don't really have a 'style' yet and instead am focusing on exploring what is needed (stylistically) for each shoot. I have recently done a promotional shoot for an airbnb rental and had a wonderful time capturing the place's beauty. I'm hoping to do some more stuff along those lines soon. I run a photography group here in Helsinki and we meet every Sunday.
My favourite lenses are a Zeiss 21mm 2.8 Milvus for whatever I can find to accommodate it and my 105 1.4 Nikon for portraits.
Anyway, nice to see what appears to be a good bunch of people!
