I just spent a few hours dodging and burning this image.




Now it's time to start doing some more test prints.

That was painstaking work which will be well rewarded when you make your final print. There are so many changes, and many so subtle they are only noticable when I repeatedly swap between the two versions in lightbox. Great work!

The slight darkening of the foreground is most noticeable to me. The latest version looks like the earth is swallowing up the train to a greater degree. Subtle but effective, at least to me.

I guess that knowledge through experience of how changes such as this will make themselves apparent in a print as opposed to screen viewing plays a large part in your thinking process.

I like it a lot but because it is a great image it deserves more attention. I am having a whinge about the upper right corner. It appears, to me, that the cloud formation is a tad too 'streaky.' Perhaps I am seeing too much!
