Grapes have to be cut back before the winter. When done after the winter when the plant is growing it will "bleed". That's what I did, to late.



Waiting for the drip to fall.

It did stop after a week.

About the pictures. it was a rather windy day so both the leaves as me where moving a lot. And the drip falling down would go out of focus anyway. With these settings,a focus distance of 50cm, f4.5 and 105mm the dof would be 0. Calculating afterwards. Even if the fl would change to 90mm at this distance the dof would be 1cm. Assuming the focus distance was 50cm.

But I've my bleeding grape and falling drip on the picture.

a good capture in 'difficult conditions'

The 'micro' drop seems absolutely in focus and I think the larger drop being slightly out of focus still works because it conveys a sense of motion.

I think if this was my capture I would try a tighter/closer crop.

I tried to stop the bleeding by burning the top. As you see without results.

This one gives a funny 'look through' in the drop.

Again, that latest shot is of a type I often look to get after rain when droplets form on twigs leaves etc.
The lensing effect of a water droplet can be spectacular.

As with your second shot I would be cropping much closer to emphasise the view through the droplet.
