    From darkness to light

I was in the Canadian Museum for Human Rights the other week. One of the building's many remarkable features are these gorgeous alabaster walkways, which the visitor follows up from the gloom of the main floor to the Tower of Hope.

All shot with the Nikon D750 and Tamron 25-70 mm.

Hi Janis - I really like the colors. I would love to run my hands over these steps to feel the texture! Intriguing pictures.

Nicely seen and captured, I see there was some detail outside the window, did the upper portion cause any issues with exposure?

Thanks, Sandy and John. To answer your question, John, I didn't manually adjust the exposure in any way. The images that took in the window did have blown highlights, but I was able to pull them back in Capture One. The sun would have been on the other side of the building at that time but it was an overcast day in any case.

Beautiful shots. I particularly like the first. My only suggestion would be to consider burning the bright area in the middle of the third image.

Nice abstracts... If it were mine, I think that I might crop off the lower window in image #1...

Thanks, Peter, Dan, Richard and Nandakumar.

Dan, is this what you had in mind for the third image?

Richard, I'm thinking this might work for me:
