Hi Paul, I am one of the last persons who should comment on portraits. Nevertheless, my observations are, that I like the first image ......... plus I would suggest sharpening the eyes (only). Her hair shows marvellously, but her eyes seems dull.

I will look forward to the comments of those much more qualified than me.

Hi Paul, Like Jim I am the last person to be advising on portraiture. But...

The second image works best for me. It has the look of a fashion shot. Marnie's outfit is what catches my eye rather than the model herself.

I think though that the first image of Marnie herself looks a little flat. I'd agree Jim's point about the the eyes being dull, but for me I find my eyes being drawn to her nose. I think you could tone down the the nose a little while sharpening the eyes and brightening slightly?

That said, I think you have done much better than I might have
