    Another from the Camargue

    the Camargue again, this time first light in the morning and the horses get ready for their frolic in the ocean. Nice light and too early for the mosquitos

    This shot is not as effective as the horses running in the water. Overall I feel there is too much background material and the image is too bright for the light patterns. Drop the midpoint value, bring up the mid-tone contrast ever so slightly and crop the image and in my view you get a much stronger image.

    Your images are more like oil paintings....i love those pastel colors....stunning!!! Perfect for wallpapers!!!

    Thank you all. Manfred I have a version like yours but I feel it changes the ethereal early light into an evening shot and I have to say I prefer the version that I posted

    I agree with Manfred that cropping is an improvement, but IMHO, the other edits create an entirely different image than the original. I can imagine the original printed on a matte paper, perhaps textured, while I would print the second on a luster or baryta paper. On the whole, I prefer the original (albeit cropped a bit).
