    Re: Standard Lens Challenge

Thanks Donald! I think it's great just as a personal challenge and not any kind of competition just so that I can learn for my own benefit sake to maximize my creative ability by learning to move around and view any given subject more circumspectly rather than just twisting the ring a little bit and snapping a shot when really I could have produced a more powerful image from an ever so slightly different angle. I would love to go all primes but I've learned that my money is best spent on the more expensive L lenses and it seems the primes are on the top of the $ charts . So my prime collection is still a few years off. Currently the only prime I have is Canon's amazing 100mm f/2.8L IS USM macro lens. I still enjoy it immensely though for far more than just macro work. Here's a sample from last weekend taken with it on a full frame camera.

I'd like to get all of your thoughts on it but I'll put it in another thread for that so I don't sidetrack this one.

Not sure if this counts as 1) I'm late to the party and 2) lens is 100mm, but that's on 6x8 negative which means its 46mm in standard 35mm format.

Anyway here it is. C&C welcome.
