Wow!!! I am stunned, especially by the second one. Sheer magic!!! I think the first image at least 20% of the foreground is non-contributing; further its blurred appearance is a disturbance to eyes. Last one need some brightening?

More lovely shots of these beautiful horses.

I think you could improve these with some tweaks in pp. Here is an attempt I made with your first one. A tighter crop; a little saturation boost; a little more contrast; selective brightening of the horses; and some sharpening.

I hope you enjoyed your dinner, you certainly deserved it.

I agree with Nandakumar: the second is a stunning image.

The third doesn't work for me. There isn't enough contrast with the sky to make it an effective silhouette. It just looks badly underexposed. It's a pity, because the man's pose is great. I tried fussing with it, but unfortunately, the horse's outline is nearly impossible (for me) to turn into a selection. Perhaps luminosity masking would work.

#1 is a mixed bag, I think. It's a good capture, but the image has a number of weaknesses. The bright light isn't on the primary subjects, and the people are fading into the background. Perhaps this could be improved by some processing to alter that.

PS: I see that Peter was posting an example of this while I was typing.

Regarding #1, the blurred appearance is with respect to the foreground only

    Re: Camargue last light

Number one I'm considering cropping a bit, the reason for the layout is that the horses heads are (sort of) at a third. Peter I like your crop on this one but I feel the horses are just a bit too bright
Number two in its fifth incarnation, not a lot of difference between this one and the other four but just enough
Number three needs to be dark, I shot this on motor drive bracketed and the lighter version ... is just a man on a horse
    Thanks for comments and suggestions

When one sits on those horses one needs good clothes. They used a special cotton textile for it. Levi Strauss from the jeans had to use this once and kept using it. It's called denime, what means "from Nime", a city in the camarque. I thought nice to know when seeing all those beautiful horses.

    Re: Camargue last light

Paul, a very nice set of captures, I'd agree with the comments already provided. For me the second shot is the most dynamic.

As regards the 3rd, I think there is quite a bit more that could be done with the shot. I've taken the liberty of having a little play and recropped a bit to focus on the horse and rider. You absolutely nailed the focus and there is a lot of detail recoverable in the posted version, though I may have oversharpened a bit!

If you prefer I take image down just say!
