    Monochrome Mini Competition #70

This is a MONOCHROME mini competition and it is open to all CiC members. It has an 'open' theme - any subject at all.

Post your MONOCHROME (B&W) image in a new post below. Please change your post title to a name for your picture) (Click the "Go Advanced" button). Tinted images utilizing ONE colour are allowed. Colour images will be deleted.

When we get 10 images a Mod will attach a voting poll, and any member may vote on it.

After 3 days the poll closes and the winner is declared.

Limit of 1 image per post, and 2 image posts per person.

If there are already 10 in the current comp, please start a new thread and copy this text.

    Good luck.

Please do not request criticism and comment (C&C) on your images when entering this competition as it could be unfair on other entrants

    A three bottle problem

Single studio light for rim lighting. The worst bit was soaking the labels off the bottles...

    Ducks, weeds, ducks.

OK, so who exactly do I blame for this sudden obsession with B&W?

    Monochrome Mini Competition #70

(Ya, I know they're geese, but ducks sounds better.)

Good shot, Chris. It has a distinctly spooky quality to it. You just needed one more vote! (And yes, I did vote for you)

    Re: Curve Ahead

I'm getting there...it's harder than one might think to rethink not just how you shoot, but think how you are going to post process when you are making the shot. I will be so glad when I get to do RAW and I am thinking, I am going to like Silver Efex Pro a lot. My CS5 package came yesterday and I am expecting Silver on Monday...now if I can just get my computer guru to finish my system. Thanks for all your input and support and admonishment when I need it.
