Earlier, I was tempted to go into a long monolog on art theory, but decided that you all didn't know me well enough to "hear my voice". If you know what I mean. Ask Katy she knows. But I agree with you, with the caviat that a truly good artist should be able to pull you in and convince you. Make you believe. Much like a well written, acted, produced screen play can make you believe that the characters and the world your watching are real. It happens . . . sadly not too often but it does, and when it does its wonderful! And the reverse can be said. A clever artist can make you suspend reality, I think.
