    Brooms

I am trying to make a collection of 6 photographs of... brooms. Yes, brooms. In the Orient we see many brooms in many different places and I started to look at them with more attention than before.
However, I have just a few as I was only aware of them lately.
Here are some. It doesn't matter where they were, they all share the same purpose: to sweep

Has a nice diagonal but other than that nothing special, needs a bit of shadow to set it apart from the drab background/base.

    Just add 'MacKenzie'

    Re: Brooms

I am wondering why it is presented in that format. What does the space at the left and right hand sides add to the image?

Unless there is a reason that I am not seeing, in which case please ignore this, I would suggest this is an ideal candidate for a 1:1 (Square) image.

I am in complete agreement with Donald - 1:1 image.

I've taken more than a few pictures of brooms in countries around the world, but have never found that the ones lying down, like in your second shot, look particularly interesting. In your first shot, I find that the bright blue plastic dustpan draws much of our attention and the broom (even though it is quite noticeable) and it fight for the viewer's attention.

I see you are brushing up on your composition. It's a very clean image - unsurprisingly, perhaps!

I struggle with the disruption of the angled broom handle disappearing out of shot on the left.

    Trev, thank you for commenting.
That element is the dissonant one. I would not know hot to perfectly erase it. It would also be necessary, to fix the shadow.
    It doesn't bother me...
Now, a classical pose of a broom

The series really gains strength now. Is that an Indian language seen in image 3?
