Re: Reading the mail
A well captured photo with the right amount of DOF. However the highlights from the fountain just distract my eye from the subject. i think a little bit of cropping dragging from both top and bottom left should sort it.

Re: Reading the mail
Oh yes Peter. You are right !
The white on the top right is really bright but it is not "burned". I tried a tighter crop but I couldn't do it as I stick to 3/4 for this kind of photos.
Here I post the original zeroed in LR and a "tried" version with a not to bright white
I like this dam lens and it's bokeh ! (100mm)
Thank you for commenting !

Re: Reading the mail
i would just lose the fountain altogether , either by cropping or even cloning.

Re: Reading the mail
No, no, no, Peter.
After I posted the previous photo I learned to work with LR with masks. I thought: if LR has masks via Adjustments Brushes, also does ACR...
I opened the file in Photoshop, converted to Smart Objects (which the main issue is being most of the times, gigantic files - and worked with similar tools achieving the result bellow.
The work has been done in no time (I mean quickly) and no refinement has been done. But I see the potential of such method. The back of the guy is not very well done, is it ?
The photo now is far, far better, don't you think ?

Re: Reading the mail
While I can appreciate this photo, the chairs are distracting to me, and it doesn't really draw me in like many of your photos do Antonio. Maybe it's because people staring at their phones are so commonplace now?

Re: Reading the mail
Thank you for commenting, Sharon.
This is just a simple photograph to play with the new camera and the new lens.

Re: Reading the mail
If it is simply a photo to play with a new camera and lens, then why take up the time which Sharon has taken pains to comment upon, Antonio. It really diminishes her time taken to evaluate and give her comment, how disrespectful!

Re: Reading the mail
Perhaps you are right Jim...
I did not mean to hurt Sharon in any way... I hope she understand that.
On the other hand... aren't yourself waisting time writing this comment of yours, just to diminish me ?
