Wonderful captures! It's absolutely amazing how a dog can get totally attached to one toy... My daughter's Lab isn't finicky... ANY ball is good for him to play with all day... However, the only time my Doodle is interested in a ball is when the Lab wants it. Then Holly usually gets it because by virtue of her long poodle legs, she is faster than the Lab...
This my daughter's English Lab. They are generally shorter and stockier than American Field Labradors...

Great shots and cute pup.
Thank you Richard
Love the photo and the story. It is pretty cute how they get attached... well, it can be cute unless there is possession aggression (had to work on Kulshan some on this, as he would pick up a chuck it at the dog park in Anacortes, and.. well, let every other dog know it was his...). Your doodle sounds hilarious. I get that side of it too, it's a big game
Your daughters pup is beautiful. Yes, the English Labs tend to be shorter and stockier, they are the ones that are more for the show rings I guess. I've also heard they are a bit more mellow. Her pup has soulful eyes, very beautiful.
I think that the English Labs are less rambunctious than the American Labs. My daughter's Lab is 15 now. She mothered our Doodle (rather strictly) when Holly was a young pup and they are still best of friends.
Here's YouTube snippet that my wife did of Shadow the Labrador and her younger brother Duke the mini Goldendoodle. Both these dogs are my daughter's rescue dogs!

If these were mine, Sharon, then my personal preference would be 3, 2. However in 2, I would crop out the sky substantially, what is it contributing? No, 3, I would recolour the ball, so it takes less of a central feature. But, hey, why would you take notice of me - they are great photos of a dog that you love. Just ignore me, and enjoy!
Sharon, is it possible that you spoil him? Nah!
Cheers Ole
Aw, come on Jim... I love the feedback. And, believe it or not, I agree with you in regards to the sky in number 2, what is its purpose? None. The ball, although part of the story, I do see how it takes away from the dog, so you are correct. It's a ball, who cares if it's blue.
We do love our pups. They give us so much, and ask for little in return. Imagine a world like that.
Richard, just watched the video, it's wonderful, thank you for sharing!
Such a cute dog Sharon, and nice to see them doing what they enjoy. If my Rio met him it would be kiss kiss time. He loves larger short haired doggies.
