Of course the other part of my gear that has changed is that I no longer work in a physical darkroom.
No trays, developing tanks, processing drums, an enlarger, chemicals that were probably not all that great for the environment and of course all that water that went into washing prints.
It's interesting that many people going back to film are seeking out that do-it-yourself technology, which makes perfect sense considering they savour the process as much as the end result. I occasionally look at one of my film cameras and consider getting a roll, but (like Oscar Wilde with exercise) I make myself sit perfectly still until the desire goes away. As I have no darkroom gear I would just have to hand the roll in for someone else to process.
I think I am more tolerated by my family without even the thought of getting darkroom gear - that could lead to divorce and anyway my partner cannot have any chemical agents in the house.
