Another lovely portrait Javier. You had some nice soft and diffuse light to work with.

I think your focus is better in this image but I'm not sure you are 100% sharp, but it is closer.

Three things to watch for here:

    1. The bright areas of the top part of the background are distracting. Watch for this when you are framing your shot.

    2. A bit tighter crop on the left. You should eliminate that little bit of your subject's arm (and sleeve) there; and

    3. The black camisole that your subject is wearing is distracting as well. There is a very dark area on the bottom right that just seems to intrude into the image. There is a tiny bit poking out on the right side as well. Our eyes tend to notice areas of high contrast, so these are minor distractions that should have been corrected during the shoot.

Sometimes it's easier to show the edits than to explain them...

    Javier,

Could we see the image prior to cropping? Just wonder what you thought needed eliminating and wonder if it could be done in-camera.

John - the image has a 4 x 6 aspect ratio which is the standard aspect ratio of most full-frame (and many APS-C) cameras, so it is quite possibly uncropped. What makes you suspect it has been cropped in PP?

    Manfred,

Just the areas of her hair (all three points-top and sides), wrist, and portion of the blouse partially shown, I thought perhaps there was something in those areas Javier didn't want to present.
